How the portal works

For Antioch staff. Customers do not need this page.

What it does

It reads invoices from QuickBooks Online and shows them to the customer they belong to. It never writes accounting data. QuickBooks stays the record, so nothing here can put your books out of step.

How a customer signs in

They enter their email address and we send a link. The link works once and expires after 15 minutes. There is no password to reset.

“My link never arrived”

  1. Ask them to check their spam folder.
  2. Check the email on their customer record in QuickBooks. The address they type must match it exactly, or we have nothing to send to.
  3. Have them request another link.

“I see no invoices”

Almost always the same cause: the email on their QuickBooks customer record differs from the one they typed. Fix it in QuickBooks and the portal follows within five minutes.

Opening a customer's view

Sign in with your own Antioch address and you land on a customer chooser. Pick one and you see exactly what they see, with a banner across the top naming them.

The Pay button is live while you do this. Clicking it opens a real payment page for that customer. Every entry, exit, and Pay click is recorded against your name.

Where payments go

Onto Intuit's payment page, which records the payment against that invoice in QuickBooks. Nobody reconciles anything by hand, because there is only ever one copy of the truth.

Reconnecting QuickBooks

If the portal reports that it cannot reach billing, sign in as staff and visit /api/qbo/connect, then authorise the company again.
